Abington Woods

Welcome to the Woods

Abington Woods has been enjoyed by children since the 1920’s when it was gifted to the Scouting movement by Rev. Woods. He planted the first trees on this then meadow and the beautiful Chapel tucked away at the back of the woodland was created. Abington Woods has now been established as a Community Interest Company with the aim of making this beautiful woodland accessible to all members of the local, wider and international community we are part of.

At Abington Woods, we aim to help you make the most of your time here, whether its a few hours or a few days. You will have the opportunity to break away from the busy day-to-day and reconnect with nature. String up a hammock and relax with a book or book an activity for you and your group. Investigate the woodland flora and fauna or just stop and listen to the bird song.
